Happy Independence Day Kenya!
To celebrate the holiday we decided to hike Mount Longonot accompanied by three members of Cure; Samuel(our pace setter), Victoria and Naomi. We happened to stumble on a stray dog that accompanied us up to the highest point of the crater, we named it Tiger because of his stripes. We hiked up the volcano around the rim and stumbled back down, which in total was a little over 8miles. With large amounts of dust being inhaled, high inclines, and plenty of hills, we traversed the perimeter of the crater with no problems and everyone made it back home in one piece. The view was beautiful with a few sightings of zebras and giraffes. Cadee saw a very frightening 7ft snake and proceeded to run away, not looking back (the snake was 1 ft long and honestly kinda cute). We spent the night recovering from the long hike before we go back to work tomorrow.
