We took off Friday morning having arrived the previous night, and were introduced to the Great Rift Valley on our way to the Maasai Mara. It was a long 5-6 hour drive to the Maasai Mara and along the way we experienced what our safari guide likes to call a natural massage when we drove through rocky dirt road which left everyone flying back and forth. We arrived at the Manyatta Camp where we spent two nights. Our days were occupied touring the Maasai Mara which is approximately 1500 square kilometers. We saw many animals including 3 out of 5 of the Big 5 i.e. the lion, elephant and buffalo. We visited the Mara River which is at the border between Tanzania and Kenya and were welcomed by some crocodiles and hippos in the river. We learnt about the migration of the wildebeest from Tanzania into Kenya during this season.

On our third and final day we experienced a cultural safari, where we went to a Maasai village and we learnt about the culture and their way of living. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn about the people in the Mara.

We then drove to Kijabe, where we have arrived and are settling in at the guesthouse. Our teams are preparing for the week ahead serving at the Cure hospital, by going over testing protocol and prepping the knee brace. Cadee and Caleb used an adaptor to test the knee on themselves and are confident about the week ahead.
Prayer points for the week ahead
• We ask that the Holy Spirit May guide us into this week and his light may be revealed in us and we may serve this community well.
• We thank God for journey mercies to the Maasai Mara and to Kijabe
