Today we visited two Cure patients in their homes. We met Austin, a 15 year old boy who had a clubfoot surgery. He shared with us his favorite sport I.e. soccer and that his favorite subject is biology. He wants to be a doctor in the future. Afterward, we met Owen, a 10 year old boy with a prosthetic knee. Owen shared with us that he wants to be a doctor in the future like Austin. His family shared how this prosthetic changed his life for the best. With this prosthetic he would be able to go to school and interact with other children. The team left encouraged by the stories of the patients and the positive impact their experience with CURE had on their lives. We are hopeful that the Lord will continue to provide for them and walk with them in their journey.
We spent the rest of the evening resting and bonding as a team. We learnt how to play two new card games; Spoons, and Caines.
